The 100th Graduating Class of June 1963 held their 45th reunion at the Puskas Party Center in North Ridgville on August 16th, 2008. The event was sponsored by YANTOTC (You are Never too old Technology Company) which is a startup venture that makes it easy for those who are not computer savvy to own and operate a computer that is reasonably priced and comes with all of the software you'll need to maximize the experience. The core of the experience is SKYPE, a free computer to computer audio and video application that lets you make and receive voice and video calls. The system was used at the reunion so that classmates who could not be there personally were able to call in and see and talk to those who were there. This was quite the high tech reunion. Bruce and Lenore Brockman organized the event with a lot of help from fellow classmates. If you are interested in having Bruce work with your reunion so that classmates who can't be there personally can still call in and participate from anywhere in the world, please go to the website above and call or send an email to him. The weather was perfect and there were poeple dropping in all afternoon. The food was great and we had entertainment that was the best there is, talent from the Class of 1963! Bob Faulkner entertained us on the guitar and then Nancy Bender Gray sang the song "Crazy," a Patsy Cline classic written by Willie Nelson, accompanied by Bob Faulkner on the guitar. The video of this impromtu performance can be viewed by clicking the link below. Bill Malloy handed out CD's of his recordings as well. Nice work Bill!
A raffle was held and many walked away with some very nice prizes. There was a lot of talk and discussion about the next reunion, our 50th, and where to have it. If you have ideas, please get in touch with Bruce or Lenore. For most classes, the 50th is usually the last formal gathering. It's one you don't want to miss.
A special thanks to all who worked so hard to make this reunion happen. Reunions are fun but the work that goes into them is not often seen or appreciated. I didn't get pictures of everyone and I apologize for not paying attention.
