Kids Day at John Marshall October 2, 2007 Kids Day at John Marshall was a big success. Mayor Frank Jackson was on hand to greet the students and the news media was there to cover it all. A news helicopter hovered overhead and added to the excitement. As a photographer, the cloudy skies were a disappointment to me since it was so dark. Shutter speeds were slow but the action was fast. That meant a lot of blurred pictures. But there are a lot of good photos to give you an idea of what it was like to be there. There wasn't much notice about the event but there were a few alumni there to welcome the students. We will endeavor to get the information for next year's kids day earlier so more can arrange to attend.
