Your Alumni Association was there to greet the John Marshall Students as they arrived for school on "Hats Off to Kids Day 2008." It was fairly dark at 7:30am and there were scattered rain showers in the area, but that did not dampen the enthusiasm of the Teachers, Administrators, Staff, and others who were there to welcome the students. Our military ROTC was there greeting the students at the Main Entrance and a larger group of Staff assembled at the North Entrance. Ian Heisey from the Bellaire-Puritas Development Corporation was also on hand. Distinctive white hats were ceremoniously tipped as students entered the building. This year we didn't have any celebrities as we did last year, but the enthusiasm was not lacking. Rhonda Saegert was out on W140th at times greeting the kids. This is a city-wide event at all Cleveland Public Schools and it would be great if we could get more people to participate. We have the info on our website as soon as we learn of the date. Look for it next year and come out to show your support for the Kids!
